County wants to hear from Cyclists about Fourmile Canyon Rebuild

TO3_OverviewMapzoomFourmile Canyon Dr west of Boulder was heavily damaged during the September 2013 flood.  Prior to the flood, this road, while heavily travelled by cyclists, had no shoulders.  As part of the permanent repairs to the road, Boulder County is considering adding an uphill shoulder in two contiguous segments (see overview map) where they will be repairing the road from flood damage.

To date, Boulder County has heard feedback from residents regarding the proposed shoulders, but has not heard from the cycling community.  If cyclists support adding shoulders to these sections of Fourmile Canyon Dr, it is imperative to speak up at the next public meeting or email transportation@bouldercounty.org .
